Assemblies will have a mix of produced and purchased parts. The engineer will produce the mounts for the motor, bearings, driveshaft, and shafts to rotate about. The driveshaft, gears and bearings will be designed to mesh without interference and modeled in Solidworks to show the mechanics work before buying and constructing. The construction design tree is shown below to see the general overview of assemblies and parts in the drivetrain.
